Glass, Stephen C.; Chvala, Angela M.
Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, v15 n4 p474-79 Nov 2001
Examined the influence of exercise mode on self-selected exercise intensities. Participants performed three types of intensity tests. Researchers collected data on VO2 values continuously and recorded 1-minute averages several times for each submaximal test. Participants allowed to self-select exercise intensity chose work rates within the American College of Sports Medicine guidelines of 50-85 percent V02max across exercise modes. (SM)
