The following factors were identified as most influential on training effectiveness by 264 of 971 members of the American Society for Training and Development: pre- and posttraining measurement of trainee knowledge, supervisor support and encouragement for application of new skills, intrinsic rewards, organizations with a high degree of employer involvement, and a continuous learning environment.
