Studied differences in learning activities between students who were successful using the CONTACT-2 strategy and those who were not. CONTACT-2 is characterized by continuous computer-assisted activation of the concepts of individual learners as they process expository texts. Results for 10 fifth and sixth graders show the importance of the second CONTACT-2 step for strategy effectiveness. (SLD)
