Collaborative Inquiry: A Means of Creating a Learning Community.
Konzal, Jean L.
Early Childhood Research Quarterly, v16 n1 p95-115 2001
This case study illustrates the collaborative research process by a principal, kindergarten parents, and a college researcher showing how a school can invite parents into the learning community. Participating parents reported significant learning about their child's development and about school programs. Questions related to school leadership and culture, cultural sensitivity, and parents' ability to juggle multiple responsibilities are discussed. (Author/KB)
