Use of CBM Oral Reading in the General Education Classroom.

Using interviews and classroom observations, this study examined one teacher's modification of curriculum-based measurement (CBM) of oral reading skills in her fourth grade general education classroom. The teacher made use of both qualitative and quantitative information. Three key elements in this teacher's CBM practice are highlighted: standardization, reduced time requirements, and qualitative inferences. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
