What Report Card Grades Should and Do Communicate: Perceptions of Parents of Secondary Students with and without Disabilities.
Munk, Dennis D.; Bursuck, William D.
Remedial and Special Education, v22 n5 p280-87 Sep-Oct 2001
This study examined which purposes for report card grades that 157 parents of general and special education students perceived as important and then evaluated how effectively these purposes are achieved. Overall, parents felt report card grades were not very effective in meeting important purposes. Significant differences were found between parents of high-achieving students and those of parents of students with disabilities. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
