Reports on a series of semi-structured interviews conducted with the parents of 15 "precocious" readers during their child's time in Key Stage 1. Notes the parents were interviewed three times: once each academic year. Concludes there are important lessons to be learned from these parents; however, as the parents of children with a precocious skill, their experiences may be atypical. (RS)
