Environmental Events and Life Satisfaction Reports of Adolescents: A Test of Cognitive Mediation.
Ash, Chris; Huebner, E. Scott
School Psychology International, v22 n3 p320-36 Aug 2001
Explores demographic, environmental, and personality correlates of adolescents' positive life satisfaction reports. Findings indicate that demographic variables did not relate to life satisfaction, and that acute events and chronic life experiences were related significantly to life satisfaction. Findings demonstrate the importance of integrative models of adolescent life satisfaction that reflect the interplay of both intrapersonal and environmental variables.
