Portuguese secondary students (n=345) completed measures of generalized indecision, psychological separation, vocational identity, self-esteem, locus of control, and anxiety. The most significant predictor of indecision was trait anxiety. Generalized indecision was associated with external locus of control, low self-esteem, low level of psychological separation from parents, and inadequate identity formation. (Contains 99 references.)
