Despite recent increases in girls' participation and achievement in school science, the problem of gender and science education remains. Much of the published research on the subject reproduces the problem. Suggests that if the problem of gender and science education is produced via certain assumptions underlying the terms "gender" and "science," then its solution must involve deconstructing those terms.
