Leisure service workers must provide outdoor facility and programmatic access to people with disabilities. Four myths concerning what people with disabilities can and should do with their lives are noted, discussing what the research says about the myths, and indicating what recreation professionals should do with this information. The myths include preferences for outdoor environments, benefits of participation, and accessibility. (SM)
