Accreditation Survey: Can Tribal Colleges Maintain Identity While Seeking Legitimacy?
Tribal College Journal, v13 n1 p18-23 Fall 2001
Describes a study that examined how perceptions of the importance and impact of accreditation have changed at tribal colleges since 1982. Based on the results of administrator surveys, it seems that (1) tribal college officials are generally satisfied with accreditation and believe it to be important; and (2) attitudes toward accreditation have not changed in the last 20 years.
