Measuring Changes in Group Working Skills in Undergraduate Students after Employer Involvement in Group Skill Development.
Laybourn, Phyllis; Goldfinch, Judy; Graham, Jennifer; Macleod, Lucy; Stewart, Sheila
Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, v26 n4 p367-80 Aug 2001
Examined changes in students' group skills before and after employer feedback and in students receiving and not receiving feedback, and the relationship between skill level and performance on the assignment. Experience with employer-observed group work increased students' self-rating of their skills; teams with a good knowledge of team processes obtained high marks, but did not rate themselves more highly.
