Elderly Individuals' Reminiscences about the Life-Span Development of their Family.
Byrd, Mark
International Journal of Aging and Human Development, v52 n3 p253-63 2001
Describes a project where the elderly recall past events representing the beginning of their families, their families when the parents were middle age, and their current families. Elderly adults' memories of their families' beginnings focused on episodes that illustrated the initial occurrence of family themes and values. Discusses findings in terms of Duvall's (1988) model of family developmental tasks. (JDM)
