An Unidentified Source of John Locke's "Some Thoughts Concerning Education."
Pedagogy, Culture & Society, v9 n2 p249-77 2001
Discusses an example of cultural exchange in the late 17th century, highlighting John Locke's ideas on education, which were formulated during his 5-year sojourn in Holland, and suggesting that Locke's ideas on education were far more influenced and stimulated by his encounters with Dutch educational literature and Dutch educational practice than has been credited by other researchers to date.
