Watanabe, Tad
School Science and Mathematics, v101 n4 p194-205 Mar 2001
Presents a study of the content and organization of teacher manuals for elementary school mathematics from Japan and the United States. Indicates that there are significant differences in the way Japanese teacher manuals are prepared compared to those from the U.S. series. Concludes that curriculum developers should critically reflect on how to prepare teacher manuals so that they become useful resources for teachers. (Contains 13 references.) (Author/ASK)
