To address Hawaii's shortage of rural special education teachers and new state teacher employment requirements, Gonzaga University (Washington) designed a master's level preservice teacher education program to be delivered at an Oahu high school. Course content, scheduling, and format were tailored to meet the needs of currently employed but uncertified special education teachers. (SV)
