An Examination of the Use of Peer Rating for Formative Assessment in the Context of the Theory of Consumption Values.
Pope, Nigel
Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, v26 n3 p235-46 Jun 2001
The theory of consumption values suggests that consumers attach different values to product groups, which affect motivations to purchase. This study used the framework of consumption values to examine students' responses to the use of peer rating. It found that use of peer rating leads to improved student motivation and learning but can be stressful for participants. (EV)
