Discusses why peer victimization occurs and the characteristics of children who are victimized. Recommends that school counselors simultaneously provide multiple interventions that are targeted toward different aspects of the peer victimization problem, including assisting victimized children in interacting with peers, reducing peers' engagement in victimizing behaviors, and increasing teacher awareness and intervention.
