A Confirmatory Factor Analysis of the Mathematics Anxiety Scale for Children.
Beasley, T. Mark; Long, Jeffrey D.; Natali, Michele
Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, v34 n1 p14-26 Apr 2001
Confirmatory factor analyses suggested that the Mathematics Anxiety Scale for Children measures an internally consistent, unidimensional construct. Construct validity (i.e., correlations with state anxiety, trait anxiety, and quantitative ability) was demonstrated. Discusses the importance of accurately assessing mathematics anxiety at the elementary school level. (Contains 61 references and 3 tables.) (GCP)
