Psychosocial Association of Japanese Mothers and Their Children when Living Temporarily Abroad.

Observations were studied between Japanese children and their mothers (N=61) temporarily living in the United States. One-fourth of the mothers were regarded as having minor psychiatric illnesses. Analysis revealed that a mother's minor psychiatric illness was significantly associated with levels of depression and anxiety in their children. (JDM)
