Presents anti-racist thought and practice as resistant responses to dominant structures and knowledge, using student teachers' responses to classroom readings on anti-racism. Focuses on the role of education in students' pursuit of a politics of resistance, subversion, and transformation. Argues that material, symbolic, and ideological representation and practice help define people's many identities as students, learners, educators, and political activists. (SM)
