Predicting Adolescents' Risky Behaviors: The Influence of Future Orientation, School Involvement, and School Attachment.
Somers, Cheryl L.; Gizzi, Traci J.
Adolescent & Family Health, v2 n1 p3-11 Spr 2001
Investigated the influence of school context in predicting high school students' risk taking behaviors (e.g., truancy, substance use and sexual behaviors), hierarchically examining school attachment, school involvement, and future orientation as potential predictors of risky behaviors. Surveys indicated that the hierarchical model held true for some risk behaviors but not others. (SM)
