Though the number of women in the parks and recreation field is growing, with 70 percent of parks and recreation positions currently held by women, men still dominate upper management. This article examines evidence of continuing sex discrimination in recreation management and notes the importance of examining personnel policies and recognizing differences in career development issues between men and women.
