Relationships between Theorists/Researchers and Policy Makers/Practitioners: Rethinking the Two-Cultures Thesis and the Possibility of Dialogue.
Ginsburg, Mark B.; Gorostiaga, Jorge M.
Comparative Education Review, v45 n2 p173-96 May 2001
Examines the limited communication between educational theorists and researchers, on the one hand, and policy makers and practitioners, on the other. Discounts the "two cultures" thesis for explaining the communication gap, arguing that the groups are heterogeneous and overlap. Discusses six approaches to closing the communication gap, and analyzes the likelihood they would promote dialogue. (Author/SV)
