Discusses ideas highlighted by the U.S. international education initiative. Specifically discussed are the promotion of foreign language learning at all levels, including efforts to achieve biliteracy; helping teachers acquire skills to understand and interpret countries and culture for their students; increasing opportunities for the exchange of faculty, and administrators; and strengthening English instruction abroad.
