Examines the relationship between general knowledge, skills in applying reading strategies, and reading comprehension for ninth-grade students in Israel at varying educational levels: academic, semi-academic, vocational and learning disabilities. Reveals differential contributions of general knowledge and strategy application to reading comprehension.
