Examines the relationship between name calling and beliefs that children have about their peers. Asserts that name calling among elementary school children is a form of bullying that may have substantial developmental implications. Results support previous research in that, as a group, the more that children experienced being called names, the more negative were their beliefs about their peers. (Contains 39 references.) (GCP)
