Texas Nurses Respond to Mandatory Continuing Education.
Prater, Llewellyn; Neatherlin, Jacquelin S.
Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, v32 n3 p126-32 May-Jun 2001
A survey of 123 Texas nurses with at least 20 hours of mandatory continuing education (MCE) participation revealed that 72% were positive about MCE; they preferred independent providers or home study and lecture/discussion. They found professional associations' offerings of higher quality than those of community colleges. Cost was the greatest barrier. (Contains 21 references.) (SK)
