The Forgotten Principles.
Texas Education Review, v1 n1 p5-9 Spr 2000
Examines the Declaration of Independence, highlighting its initial phrases and describing the philosophy underlying the creation of the United States. Explains that the country has strayed far from its founding fathers' philosophy and suggests that much of today's federal government is, by this standard, illegitimate. Recommends returning to the principles of the American revolution as described in the Declaration. (SM)
