Studied the interactions of 14 to 20 Canadian teacher education students taking a course in Aboriginal (Canadian First Nations) children's literature. Observations of these students suggest that expressing and exploring ideas and feelings about issues like stereotyping help students develop a supportive kinship promoting learning that transforms attitudes.
