When schools in Lebanon, Oregon, started to crumble from neglect, support staff rallied around the community and partnered with teachers to save their schools. This paper looks at the vital contributions of educational support personnel, noting that while most of Lebanon's teachers live outside the district, most support staff are local residents, and their community link is vital.
