This article uses the change of solids to liquids to gases as a metaphor for the need of high school gifted education to change from current rigid forms to the liquidity of increased flexibility, individual opportunity, and freedom and the maximum energy, freedom and flexibility (gaseous state) achieved by gifted education at its best.
