Focuses on whether immigrant children from Ethiopia can master the instrumental enrichment (IE) tasks of Feuerstein's IE program. Compares IE task performance of immigrant students to Israeli students. Results demonstrate that exposure to regular curriculum does not prepare immigrant students for tasks like those contained in IE material. Differences in performance between younger and older immigrant students are also discussed. (Author/JDM)
