Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) is an intervention that proved effective in reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder and in increasing self-efficacy in women inmates (N=123). Discusses both the treatment protocol and the research design of this study. Offers suggestions for practice and research related to traumatized women inmates. (Author/MKA)
