Mendez, Linda M. Raffaele
Journal for the Education of the Gifted, v24 n2 p149-69 Win 2000
A study compared early-adolescent girls in gifted (n=132) and general education programs (n=77) on constructs related to gender-role stereotyping. Gifted girls held stronger self-perceptions of instrumentality, evidenced higher achievement motivation, were less traditional in their career aspirations, and were more liberal towards the rights and roles of women.
