Examines the persistence rate and academic achievement of three cohorts of first-time freshmen that had used the recreation complex and those that had not used the facility. Results reveal that freshmen that used the student recreation complex (SRC) persisted at a greater rate after one semester and after one year than their counterparts who did not use the SRC.
