Evaluates impact of a teaching package for school staff on their ability to recognize depressed pupils. Teachers (N=16) were tested on their ability to identify depressed students, and students were screened for Major Depressive Disorder. After training, teachers felt more confident about their ability to recognize depressed pupils, but this was not statistically verified because of small teacher numbers. (Author/JDM)
