Analyzed primary research studies on public school teacher supply and demand. Findings show that enrollments are leveling off, and that only about 1 in 20 teachers leaves teaching each year. Novice teachers usually cite personal and family reasons for leaving, rather than job dissatisfaction. (SLD)
