Analyzes classroom transcriptions from the 4th grade on the elaboration by pupils of a behavior code for a field trip. Characterizes good teaching practice in environmental education. Results show how pupils are able to create and justify their own rules, how they cope with conflicts, and which environmental values are sustained by them. (SAH)
