Patterns of Dissociation in the Processing of Verb Meanings in Brain-Damaged Subjects.
Kemmerer, David; Tranel, Daniel; Barrash, Joseph
Language and Cognitive Processes, v16 n1 p1-34 Feb 2001
Examined how knowledge associated with verbs can be impaired by brain damage. A standardized battery of tests was administered to a group of brain damaged subjects. The goal was to investigate how patterns of associations and dissociations that emerged across tests could shed light on the functional architecture that underlies the meaning of verbs and the computational operatives used to manipulate them.
