Interventions with Juvenile Offenders: Strategies To Prevent Acting Out Behavior.
Moody, Edward E., Jr.; Lupton-Smith, Helen S.
Journal of Addictions & Offender Counseling, v20 n1 p2-14 Oct 1999
Reviews four programs (Moral Dilemma Discussion Groups; Just Communities; Positive Peer Culture; and EQUIP program) for their appropriateness when intervening with juvenile offenders in residential settings. When choosing among these interventions, counselors should questions whether the youth have the necessary skills needed for each intervention, and whether there are enough resources available to implement and sustain the program.
