Twenty-four multicultural education instructors were surveyed about their greatest challenges and conflicts and their coping strategies when teaching multicultural education courses at the academy. Responses indicated that instructors share similar challenges and conflicts (for example, student resistance and anger toward certain topics), employ various effective coping skills, and experience a higher rate of attrition in these courses.
