Presents data from the National Education Longitudinal Study on participants who attended postsecondary institution within two years of high school and had chosen a field of study. Educational choices had a three-way Gender x SES x Race-Ethnicity interaction. Race-ethnicity effects were strongest for men at lower SES levels and weakest for women at high SES levels. (Author/JDM)
