Educational Attainment and Employment Income: Incentives and Disincentives for Staying in School.

Used Canadian census data from 1980, 1985, and 1990 to analyze the relationship between educational attainment and employment income. Data show trends similar to those found elsewhere, particularly in the United States. Data also show some lower than expected trend changes in the 1990 data in employment-income differentials and equal or greater decreases in earning power for the young. (SLD)
