The Association of Sexual Behaviors with Socioeconomic Status, Family Structure, and Race/Ethnicity among U.S. Adolescents.
Santelli, John S.; Lowry, Richard; Brener, Nancy D.; Robin, Leah
American Journal of Public Health, v90 n10 p1582-88 Oct 2000
Assessed the relationship of socioeconomic status (SES), family structure, and race/ethnicity to adolescent sexual behaviors that are key determinants of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Data from the 1992 Youth Risk Behavior Survey indicated that differences in adolescent sexual behavior by race and SES were not large enough to fully explain differences in pregnancy and STD rates.
