Encouraging Out-Patients To Make the Most of Their First Hospital Appointment: To What Extent Can a Written Prompt Help Patients Get the Information They Want?
Fleissig, Anne; Glasser, Brian; Lloyd, Margaret
Patient Education and Counseling, v38 n1 p69-79 Sep 1999

Results highlight the difficulties outpatients have in asking questions and discussing topics fully at their initial consultation, even when they have thought of the questions in advance.
