Ganje-Fling, Marilyn; Veach, Patricia McCarthy; Kuang, Haijiang; Houg, Bonnie
Counseling and Values, v44 n2 p84-91 Jan 2000
Sexually abused psychotherapy patients (n=43) were compared to non-abused patients (n=34) on several aspects of spiritual functioning. Results for groups did not differ significantly. Most reported initiating and discussing spirituality during therapy, were satisfied and comfortable with these discussions, and rated spirituality as important to problem resolution. They also listed several obstacles to spiritual development. (Author/MKA)
