Vers une autonomie croissante de l'apprenant du francais langue etrangere (Toward an Increasing Autonomy of the French as a Foreign Language Learner)?
Hoeflaak, Arie; Verloop, Nico
Canadian Modern Language Review, v56 n4 p617-86 Jun 2000
Investigates characteristics of spoken French texts. Experience teaching French as a foreign language has revealed that some university students, even at a relatively advanced level, have difficulty understanding the news on Radio France International. Suggests that three characteristics of the spoken news program that may cause students difficulties should serve as the basis for a pedagogy of spoken French. (Author/VWL)
