The Effectiveness of Peer Support Systems in Challenging School Bullying: The Perspectives and Experiences of Teachers and Pupils.
Naylor, Paul; Cowie, Helen
Journal of Adolescence, v22 n4 p467-79 Aug 1999
Survey sought teachers' and pupils' perceptions and experiences of peer support systems in challenging bullying in secondary schools and colleges. Systems were found effective in reducing negative effects of bullying for victims. Respondents perceived benefits to users of these systems, to peer supporters, and the school as a whole, including creating a socio-emotional climate of care. (Author/JDM)
